Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disease, vasculitis, gout, osteoporosis and autoimmune disorders
- Prescribe and monitor DMARDs, biologics, immunosuppressants and infusion therapies safely
- Perform joint assessments, injections and musculoskeletal ultrasound where within scope
- Coordinate care with nephrology, dermatology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and physiotherapy
- Educate patients on disease control, medication safety, lifestyle and flare management
- Support registry participation, audit, safety monitoring and evidence based protocols
Requirements
- Recognized specialist qualification in Rheumatology (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, European Board, FRACP, Arab Board, DM/DNB)
- Eligibility for UAE licensing (DHA/DOH/MOH)
- Strong clinical judgement and commitment to evidence based practice
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations and standards
