Job Summary

  • Seeking a highly qualified Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon for a leading children's healthcare hospital in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired pediatric plastic and reconstructive conditions.
  • Perform pediatric plastic surgery procedures including cleft lip and palate repair, craniofacial reconstruction, hand surgery, burn reconstruction, scar revision, and soft tissue reconstruction.
  • Evaluate and manage pediatric trauma and complex reconstructive surgical cases.
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations.
  • Collaborate with craniofacial surgeons, neurosurgeons, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, dermatologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop individualized treatment and postoperative rehabilitation plans.
  • Educate patients and families.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and CME.
  • Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
  • Board Certification / Fellowship in Plastic Surgery with subspecialty experience in Pediatric Plastic Surgery.
  • Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Plastic Surgery.
  • Minimum 5 7 years post board consultant experience in pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery.
  • Strong expertise in pediatric reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures.
  • Excellent surgical, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in cleft and craniofacial multidisciplinary programs.
  • Exposure to pediatric microsurgery and complex reconstructive procedures.
  • Academic and research experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
