Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired pediatric plastic and reconstructive conditions
- Perform pediatric plastic surgery procedures including cleft lip and palate repair, craniofacial reconstruction, hand surgery, burn reconstruction, scar revision, and soft tissue reconstruction
- Evaluate and manage pediatric trauma and complex reconstructive surgical cases
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Develop individualized treatment and postoperative rehabilitation plans
- Educate patients and families
- Maintain accurate medical documentation
- Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and CME
- Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi
- Board Certification / Fellowship in Plastic Surgery with subspecialty experience in Pediatric Plastic Surgery
- Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Plastic Surgery
- Minimum 5 7 years post board consultant experience in pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery

Job Summary
- Seeking a highly qualified Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon for a leading children's healthcare hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired pediatric plastic and reconstructive conditions.
- Perform pediatric plastic surgery procedures including cleft lip and palate repair, craniofacial reconstruction, hand surgery, burn reconstruction, scar revision, and soft tissue reconstruction.
- Evaluate and manage pediatric trauma and complex reconstructive surgical cases.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations.
- Collaborate with craniofacial surgeons, neurosurgeons, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, dermatologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop individualized treatment and postoperative rehabilitation plans.
- Educate patients and families.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation.
- Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and CME.
- Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
- Board Certification / Fellowship in Plastic Surgery with subspecialty experience in Pediatric Plastic Surgery.
- Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Plastic Surgery.
- Minimum 5 7 years post board consultant experience in pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery.
- Strong expertise in pediatric reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures.
- Excellent surgical, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in cleft and craniofacial multidisciplinary programs.
- Exposure to pediatric microsurgery and complex reconstructive procedures.
- Academic and research experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
