A leading healthcare organization in Qatar seeks a highly qualified Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist to provide specialized diagnostic, medical, and surgical care for children with eye disorders.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric ophthalmic conditions, including strabismus, amblyopia, congenital cataracts, pediatric glaucoma, refractive disorders, and retinal diseases
- Perform comprehensive pediatric eye examinations and specialized diagnostic procedures
- Conduct pediatric ophthalmic surgeries, including strabismus surgery and other age appropriate surgical interventions
- Develop individualized treatment and management plans based on best clinical practices
- Collaborate with pediatricians, neurologists, geneticists, and other specialists in the management of complex cases
- Provide consultation services for neonatal and pediatric intensive care units when required
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive eye care
- Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, fellows, and allied healthcare professionals
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and continuing medical education programs
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Board Certification / CCT / Fellowship in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship or subspecialty training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist
- Expertise in pediatric ophthalmic surgery and management of complex pediatric eye disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Qatar
