Position Summary

  • Seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi.
  • Provide specialized diagnosis, treatment, and long term management for children and adolescents with hematologic disorders and pediatric cancers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient condition and clinical protocols.
  • Administer and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion therapy, and supportive care.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust management plans.
  • Provide compassionate counseling and education to patients and families.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and medical technologies.
  • Participate in tumor boards, departmental meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated with advancements in pediatric hematology and oncology.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with DOH regulations.
  • Contribute to teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of specialty training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Must hold UK CCT, American Board Certification, or Canadian Board Certification.
  • DOH Abu Dhabi License or eligibility is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of post board experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Strong expertise in pediatric cancer management and hematologic disorders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in bone marrow transplantation and advanced pediatric oncology treatments.
  • Background in internationally accredited hospitals or tertiary healthcare centers.
  • Participation in clinical research, academic teaching, or publications.
  • Strong commitment to evidence based and patient centered care.
