Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric emergency cases including medical, surgical, and trauma related emergencies
- Provide immediate stabilization and advanced resuscitation for critically ill or injured pediatric patients
- Manage emergency procedures such as airway management, intubation, lumbar puncture, sedation, and trauma care
- Collaborate closely with pediatric subspecialists, intensivists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams
- Supervise and support junior medical staff within the emergency department
- Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policies
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi
- Board Certification / Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine with Pediatric Emergency specialization
- Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- Minimum 5–7 years of post board consultant experience in pediatric emergency medicine within a tertiary care hospital
- Certification in PALS, ACLS, and ATLS preferred
- Strong expertise in pediatric resuscitation and critical emergency care

Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi.
- The successful candidate will provide expert emergency medical care to infants, children, and adolescents presenting with acute illnesses, trauma, and life threatening conditions while ensuring high standards of patient centered and evidence based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric emergency cases including medical, surgical, and trauma related emergencies.
- Provide immediate stabilization and advanced resuscitation for critically ill or injured pediatric patients.
- Manage emergency procedures such as airway management, intubation, lumbar puncture, sedation, and trauma care.
- Collaborate closely with pediatric subspecialists, intensivists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
- Supervise and support junior medical staff within the emergency department.
- Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.
- Participate in emergency preparedness, disaster management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to teaching, clinical audits, research, and continuing medical education programs.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
- Board Certification / Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine with Pediatric Emergency specialization.
- Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
