Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of paediatric gastroenterology conditions including:
- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
- Celiac disease
- Chronic abdominal pain
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Liver diseases and hepatitis
- Pancreatic disorders
- Feeding and nutritional disorders
- Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (e.g., upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy).
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations.
- Develop comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including paediatrics, surgery, nutrition, and radiology.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and allied healthcare professionals.
- Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in research, continuing medical education, and service development activities.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Western Board Certification (e.g., CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent).
- Fellowship training in Paediatric Gastroenterology.
- Minimum 3 5 years of experience at Consultant level.
- Eligible for registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
- Strong English communication skills (Arabic is advantageous but not required).
