- This role offers the chance to work at the forefront of medical innovation and patient care within a highly respected academic environment.
- As a Consultant Ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex ophthalmic conditions.
- You will also participate in multidisciplinary collaborations, teaching, and research initiatives aimed at advancing the field of ophthalmology.
- Key Responsibilities:* Provide expert ophthalmic consultations and manage patients with complex eye diseases.
- Conduct advanced ophthalmic surgeries and interventions with a focus on quality and safety.
- Lead and participate in teaching programs for medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Engage in clinical research and contribute to academic publications to support innovation in ophthalmology.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Supervise junior medical staff and support their professional development.
- Stay abreast of advances in ophthalmology and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical care.
- Contribute to the development of departmental protocols and standards of care.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in managing complex ophthalmic cases and performing advanced surgical procedures.
- Strong academic background with a commitment to teaching and research.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
- Experience within a university healthcare or academic medical center is highly preferred.
