We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced
Consultant Neonatologist
to join a leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will provide expert care to critically ill and premature newborns in a state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), ensuring the highest standards of neonatal care and patient safety.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering advanced neonatal services, utilizing the latest technologies and evidence-based clinical practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns in the NICU.
- Diagnose and manage neonatal conditions including respiratory distress, neonsaratal sepsis, congenital anomalies, metabolic disorders, and complications of prematurity.
- Perform advanced neonatal procedures such as neonatal resuscitation, endotracheal intubation, umbilical line placement, central venous access, and ventilator management.
- Lead neonatal emergency response and stabilization efforts in delivery rooms and neonatal units.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for neonatal patients.
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians, pediatric subspecialists, pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams.
- Participate in antenatal counseling for high-risk pregnancies and expected neonatal complications.
- Ensure compliance with NICU protocols, infection prevention measures, and patient safety standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, fellows, and NICU nursing staff.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities.
