Role Summary
Provide advanced maternal–fetal medicine services, including high-risk pregnancy management, fetal imaging, prenatal diagnostics, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care aligned with international maternal–fetal medicine standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage high-risk pregnancies involving maternal complications, fetal anomalies, multiple gestations, and preterm birth risk.
- Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging, including anomaly scans, fetal echocardiography, Doppler studies, and growth assessments.
- Conduct prenatal diagnostic procedures including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and fetal sampling when required.
- Counsel families about fetal conditions, genetic risks, and management pathways.
- Collaborate with neonatology, genetics, radiology, anesthesia, and other specialties.
- Participate in fetal therapy planning and coordinate referrals for intrauterine interventions.
- Document, report, and follow up MFM cases accurately.
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient-safety initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor residents, fellows, and sonographers.
- Participate in on-call duties, research, audits, and continuing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Medical degree, MBBS, MD, or equivalent.
- Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Subspecialty certification or fellowship in Maternal–Fetal Medicine or Fetal Medicine from a recognized international institution.
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-fellowship experience in maternal–fetal medicine.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced fetal imaging and high-risk pregnancy management.
- Experience in multidisciplinary care and tertiary-level obstetric service.
