Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of infectious diseases including bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections
- Manage complex cases such as sepsis, HIV, tuberculosis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, and hospital acquired infections
- Lead and support antimicrobial stewardship programs to optimize antibiotic use
- Collaborate with ICU, internal medicine, surgery, and microbiology teams for integrated patient care
- Provide consultation services for inpatient and outpatient infectious disease cases
- Participate in infection prevention and control initiatives and outbreak management
- Contribute to teaching, training, audits, research, and continuous quality improvement programs
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi
- Board Certification / Fellowship in Infectious Diseases (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian Board, or equivalent)
- Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Infectious Diseases
- Minimum 5–7 years of post specialist experience in a tertiary care or academic hospital
- Strong experience in managing complex infectious disease cases and antimicrobial stewardship
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Infectious Diseases to join a leading healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of infectious diseases including bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.
- Manage complex cases such as sepsis, HIV, tuberculosis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, and hospital acquired infections.
- Lead and support antimicrobial stewardship programs to optimize antibiotic use.

- Ensure compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations, hospital protocols, and international clinical guidelines.
- Contribute to teaching, training, audits, research, and continuous quality improvement programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
- Board Certification / Fellowship in Infectious Diseases (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian Board, or equivalent).
- Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Infectious Diseases.
