Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Interpret imaging, lab results, and endoscopic findings to develop treatment plans
- Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, and other specialists
- Participate in on call duties
- Educate patients on disease prevention and treatment options
- Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with Saudi regulations
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits, and patient safety initiatives
- Support training and mentorship of junior doctors and residents
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 5 years of post qualification experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy
- Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Must hold or be eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensing

Job Summary
- Seeking an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia.
- Provide expert care in diagnosing and managing gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.
- Perform advanced endoscopic procedures and contribute to high clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and ERCP
- Interpret imaging, laboratory results, and endoscopic findings
- Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, dietitians, and other specialists
- Participate in on call duties
- Educate patients on disease prevention and treatment options
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Contribute to departmental quality improvement and clinical audits
- Support training and mentorship of junior doctors
- Stay updated with advancements in gastroenterology
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 5 years of post qualification experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy
- Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural, fast paced clinical environment
- Must hold or be eligible for SCFHS licensing
