Role Overview
The Consultant ENT role focuses on complex ENT and Head & Neck conditions.
The role contributes to the growth and development of the Head & Neck Surgery service.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage complex ENT and Head & Neck conditions.
- Perform Head & Neck surgical procedures within the scope of expertise and privileges.
- Manage head and neck tumors, neck masses, salivary gland disorders, thyroid-related ENT conditions, and other relevant pathologies.
- Perform nasal endoscopy, flexible laryngoscopy, and other diagnostic ENT procedures.
- Provide pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, post-operative care, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesia, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage emergency ENT cases, including airway emergencies and epistaxis.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical governance, and evidence-based practice.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, teaching, and service development.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Head & Neck Surgery service.
Requirements
- Ability to perform Head & Neck surgical procedures within the scope of expertise and clinical privileges.
- Ability to manage complex ENT and Head & Neck conditions, including tumors, neck masses, salivary gland disorders, and thyroid-related ENT conditions.
