About the Role
Bilfinger seeks a Consultant Engineer in Abu Dhabi to assist with HSE and risk management studies, including quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, consequence modelling, and fire risk assessments.

Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Lead Consultant in preparing technical reports and performing preliminary calculations related to HSE and Risk Management studies
- Support the development of quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, including Consequence Modelling, Fire Risk Assessments (FRA), Flare Radiation Studies, Vent Dispersion Analysis, and Fire & Gas Detection / Fire Protection System Design
- Assist in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting technical data required for safety and risk studies
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals under the guidance of the Lead Consultant
- Act as workshop scribe and provide documentation support for HAZID, ENVID, OHID, SIMOPS, PHSER, SIL, ALARP, and other risk assessment workshops
- Compile workshop minutes, action logs, and final reports ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to obtain inputs required for HSE studies
- Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, industry best practices, and client requirements
- Support project execution activities and contribute to continuous improvement of HSE consulting processes
- Maintain project documentation, records, and study deliverables in accordance with company quality procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related discipline
- 0–3 years of experience in HSE, Process Safety, Risk Assessment, or Engineering Consultancy
- Basic knowledge of HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL, Fire & Gas Detection Systems, and Consequence Modelling
- Familiarity with risk assessment software such as PHAST, SAFETI, FLARESIM, or similar tools is an advantage
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
