- Provide expert assessment, resuscitation, stabilization, and ongoing management of patients presenting with medical, surgical, and trauma emergencies
- Supervise junior doctors and nursing staff, lead resuscitation and trauma calls, and ensure timely triage and prioritization of cases
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate appropriate treatment plans, coordinate referrals with other specialties, and ensure continuity of care
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and regular departmental meetings
- Support teaching and training activities within the Emergency Department
Requirements
- Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine (or relevant acute care specialty), with valid professional licensure or eligibility for licensure in the UAE
- Extensive clinical experience in emergency and acute care settings, including management of polytrauma, cardiac emergencies, pediatric emergencies, and complex medical cases
- Strong skills in advanced life support (e.g., ACLS, ATLS, PALS or equivalents) and proficiency in emergency procedures such as airway management, intubation, central line insertion, chest tube placement, and point of care ultrasound
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in high pressure environments, including team coordination during resuscitations, effective delegation, and mentoring of junior clinicians and nursing staff
- Excellent clinical decision making, diagnostic reasoning, and problem solving skills, with a commitment to evidence based practice and patient safety
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and culturally diverse team, and to communicate clearly with patients and families
- Experience with electronic medical records, clinical documentation, and adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements
- Commitment to continuous professional development, participation in quality improvement and audit activities, and involvement in teaching or training programs
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional language skills relevant to the region are an advantage

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site Consultant Emergency Medicine role based in Dubai.
