Responsibilities
- Lead management of critically ill medical, surgical, trauma and postoperative patients in ICU
- Provide advanced organ support including ventilation, haemodynamic management, renal support coordination and sepsis care
- Perform critical care procedures such as airway management, central venous access and invasive monitoring
- Coordinate multidisciplinary rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacy and allied health teams
- Guide family communication, goals of care discussions and ethical decision making
- Support ICU protocols, infection prevention, audit, simulation training and quality improvement
Requirements
- Recognized qualification in Critical Care Medicine (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/FFICM, European Diploma, Canadian Royal College, Australian CICM, Arab Board, DM/DNB/FCPS)
- Eligibility for UAE licensing and facility credentialing
- Strong clinical judgement and commitment to evidence based practice
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patients and teams
- Ability to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations and hospital governance

About The Role
- A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in UAE is expanding its high acuity ICU, organ support and multidisciplinary critical care and is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Critical Care Physician to join its growing clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead management of critically ill medical, surgical, trauma and postoperative patients in ICU
- Provide advanced organ support including ventilation, haemodynamic management, renal support coordination and sepsis care
- Perform critical care procedures such as airway management, central venous access and invasive monitoring according to privileges
- Coordinate multidisciplinary rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacy and allied health teams
- Guide family communication, goals of care discussions and ethical decision making
- Support ICU protocols, infection prevention, audit, simulation training and quality improvement
Requirements
- Applications are welcome from internationally trained consultant critical care physician candidates holding recognised qualifications such as American Board certification in Critical Care Medicine, UK CCT / FFICM / MRCP or FRCA pathway, European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine, Royal College Cert
