Qualification
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university.
Experience and Skills
- At least 10 to 15 years of relevant construction and installation experience on oil and gas projects.
- Extensive experience with large-scale onshore projects.
- Experience protecting live oil and gas plants according to approved design requirements.
- Experience implementing construction industry best practices, systems, processes, and standards.
- Good construction management, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise contractor construction works for compliance with scope, engineering design, QHSE standards, and specifications.
- Review construction method statements, material submittals, and commissioning procedures through project completion and handover.
- Act as signatory authority for contractor Permit to Work activities.
- Supervise construction and installation work for assigned disciplines and EPIC contracts.
- Participate in constructability reviews.
- Review contractor plans, schedules, method statements, and JSAs.
- Coordinate contractor mobilization, site laydown areas, permits, and gate passes.
- Inspect and test completed work and arrange pre-commissioning inspections and tests.
- Initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates and follow up on Punch List clearance.
- Review and endorse red-marked and as-built drawings.
- Participate in handover, acceptance, and facility commissioning.
- Review and endorse construction dossiers for assigned projects.
