As a Construction Site Manager , you’ll be on the front lines of that mission—leading residential builds, guiding volunteers, and ensuring every home is constructed with quality, safety, and purpose.

What You’ll Do

As our on-site leader, you’ll manage daily construction operations and bring projects to life:

Oversee day-to-day residential construction site activities

Lead subcontractors, vendors, and volunteers to deliver high-quality work

Monitor timelines and ensure projects stay on schedule

Conduct safety briefings and enforce OSHA compliance

Perform quality checks and troubleshoot issues in the field

Maintain daily logs, reports, and site documentation

Coordinate materials, deliveries, and inventory

Leadership & Communication

This role is unique—you’ll lead both skilled professionals and volunteers :

Serve as the primary on-site contact for subcontractors, inspectors, and volunteers

Translate construction plans into clear direction for all audiences

Train and support volunteers to ensure a safe and meaningful experience

Build strong relationships with inspectors and partners

Represent Habitat’s mission with professionalism and pride

What You Bring

3–5 years of residential construction experience (site leadership preferred)

Strong knowledge of building codes and safety standards

Ability to read blueprints and manage site plans

Excellent organization and time management skills

Strong communication skills across diverse groups

Experience working with teams, volunteers, or community partners

Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office, Procore, or BuildPro

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors .•Successfully achieve OSHA 40 hour certification. •Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and general PC operation. •Able to meet and interact with strangers and make them feel comfortable. •Knowledge of current building codes, regulations and manufacturer’s specifications. •Mastery of general carpentry skills. •Reads, analyzes, and interprets general construction documents. •Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from Supervisors, volunteers, partner families and the general public. •Able to effective prioritize and problem-solve under time constraints. •Thorough knowledge of safety hazards and necessary precautions. •Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsites and office. •A clean driving record and ability to be insured is required. •Able to work a flexible schedule. •Must work Saturdays.
