This position will start in Kansas and will require travel and work in the Midwest (e.g.

Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska).

Primary Function: Implement company quality control plans for the heavy highway industry while maintaining a professional working relationship with the owner’s representatives in order to keep the project on schedule and produce a quality product.

The position will report to the Operations Manager.

Some products tested by the QC Technician include but are not limited to: concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and soils.

Typical Duties:

• Acts as the company contact with the owner’s representative for QC matters.
• Sample for and conduct quality control tests according to the contract documents and specifications.
• Completes all quality control documentation such as spreadsheet summaries and transmits the appropriate records daily.
• Analyze and interpret results of QC testing & activities. Provide recommendations to Operations and QC personnel on appropriate adjustments and/or changes in processes to maintain acceptance and efficiency.
• Properly maintain the field laboratory and associated test equipment. Including the scheduling of field laboratory equipment calibrations, as needed.
