Strong leadership and project management oversite
Enforce contractor compliance with plans, specs, and contract requirements
Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, claims, progress payments, schedules, and budgets
Lead coordination meetings withtheclientbusinessowners, contractors, and project teams
Monitor project budgets and staffing needs
Demonstrate strong client communication and conflict resolution skills
Ensure compliance with codes, industry standards, and OSHA regulations
Identifyand mitigate safety risks; stop work for major violations
Identifyand mitigate construction risks
Coordinate inspections, resolve non-conformances, and document field conditions
Supervise engineers, inspectors, and construction staff
Manage multiple projects with clear stakeholder communication
Use construction management software, Microsoft Office, and emerging AI tools to improve outcomes
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
4+ years of construction management experience on civil or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and OSHA regulations
Ability to interpret plans, specs, and contract documents
Mustpossessa valid driver’s license and be legally able to drive with daily worksite reporting with exposure to weather, noise, and hazards
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; occasional evenings/weekends as needed
Physical demands: standing, walking, and climbing
Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions with appropriate PPE
Eager to learn and integrate new technology, AI tools, and innovative solutions
Hawaiʻi PE license
DOT highway experience
CCM or RME certification
HDOT, HART, or other Hawaiʻi public agency experience
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
