Role Overview
Amazon is seeking a Construction Manager for its Engineering Team to manage industrial development, new builds, retrofits, expansions, renovations, and programme initiatives.
The role covers fulfillment centers, sortation centers, delivery stations, auxiliary buildings, and quick commerce shops.
The manager serves as Amazon's representative and primary interface with developers and general contractors.
Project Delivery Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from site selection through contract execution, including new facilities, renovations, retrofits, and capacity improvements.
- Review budgets, programmes, contractor bid packages, designs, construction progress, and proposed cost or time changes.
- Prepare reports, specifications, and technical analyses defining design, equipment, and service requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and changes with developers and general contractors.
- Coordinate site management, planning, subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and facility turnover documentation.
Technical and Operational Scope
- Support construction scope development with internal technical teams and operational customers.
