Our client is seeking a CONOPS and Mission Analysis System Engineer to own the definition, development and documentation of CONOPS, mission scenarios, operational concepts and quantitative mission analyses for current and next‑generation earth observation and communications satellite missions. The engineer will work closely with customers, prime contractors and internal multidisciplinary teams to translate stakeholder needs into clear, traceable operational concepts that guide system architecture, requirements allocation, risk assessment and program planning .

ROLE OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking a CONOPS and Mission Analysis System Engineer to own the definition, development and documentation of CONOPS, mission scenarios, operational concepts and quantitative mission analyses for current and next‑generation earth observation and communications satellite missions. The engineer will work closely with customers, prime contractors and internal multidisciplinary teams to translate stakeholder needs into clear, traceable operational concepts that guide system architecture, requirements allocation, risk assessment and program planning .
Requirements & Systems Engineering
- Capture stakeholder functional, performance, environmental, and security requirements.
- Conduct workshops and trade studies to define mission needs.
- Translate mission objectives into system-level requirements with full traceability.
- Define and manage spacecraft, payload, and ground-segment interfaces (ICDs, data flows).
CONOPS & Mission Analysis
Develop and maintain the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) covering all mission phases.
Produce supporting artifacts (timelines, scenarios, flow diagrams).
