Computer Programmer

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to design and develop applications, which may interact with other systems, applications or modules.
• Understanding of business principles and objectives.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to develop programming specifications and documentation for new systems or the modification of existing ones.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communications.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and expand skills.
• Proficient use of computers.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Familiarly with IBM Power Systems / IBM i system architecture, its capabilities, development environment, languages and utilities (e.g., Rational Developer for i, RPG IV, CL, SQL, etc.).
• Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel.
