Responsibilities
- Prepare customized pharmaceutical formulations, including creams, ointments, capsules and sterile IV formulations for hospital patients.
- Perform sterile and non sterile compounding in accordance with approved protocols and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and traceability of all compounded medications.
- Maintain compliance with DHA regulations, USP standards, and hospital quality assurance policies.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide individualized medication solutions.
- Monitor inventory of pharmaceutical ingredients and compounding supplies while ordering raw materials and final products and maintaining proper storage.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and pharmacy audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized university.
- Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Compounding Pharmacist License.
- Minimum 3–5 years of compounding pharmacy experience, with substantial experience in a large hospital in the UAE.
- Proven hands on experience in preparation of creams, ointments, capsules and sterile IV formulations.
- Strong knowledge of sterile and non sterile compounding techniques, aseptic procedures, pharmaceutical calculations, and quality assurance standards.
- Sound understanding of USP <795>, USP <797>, and applicable UAE healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and problem solving skills.
