Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to unionized Risk & Compliance Specialists.
This role is responsible for supervising daily regulatory compliance activities across drinking water & wastewater systems.
Operating within a unionized environment, the Compliance Supervisor ensures consistent application of the Collective Agreement while supporting staff performance, development, and engagement.
The role is primarily accountable for ensuring compliance with applicable Ontario legislation, including the Safe Drinking Water Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act, and all relevant MECP requirements.
This position also leads quality management initiatives, including the implementation and continuous improvement of the Drinking Water Quality Management System (DWQMS) and Wastewater Quality Management System (WWQMS), while overseeing audits, reporting, and technical compliance guidance.
