Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Monitor the Company's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks
- Act as the primary liaison with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and other regulatory authorities
- Ensure the timely submission of regulatory reports, returns, notifications, and other required information
- Develop, implement, and oversee the Compliance Monitoring Programme
- Investigate, document, and manage regulatory breaches and compliance incidents
- Ensure the timely assessment and submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)
- Promote a strong compliance culture by delivering compliance awareness initiatives and staff training
- Monitor changes in applicable regulations and ensure timely implementation of regulatory updates
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or another relevant discipline
- 5–10 years of experience in Compliance and/or AML within a UAE based regulated financial institution
- Previous experience working with an SCA regulated entity highly preferred
- Experience within a brokerage, securities, trading, CFD, or financial services firm highly advantageous
- Professional certifications such as ICA, ACAMS, CISI or equivalent considered a strong advantage
- Arabic language proficiency considered an advantage

Role Overview
- The Compliance Officer & MLRO is responsible for ensuring the Company's compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, laws, and internal policies.
- The role oversees the Company's compliance framework, Anti Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF), and regulatory reporting obligations while acting as the primary point of contact with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and other relevant regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor the Company's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks.
- Advise and support senior management on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Oversee outsourced compliance related activities where applicable.
- Act as the primary liaison with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and other regulatory authorities.
- Ensure the timely submission of regulatory reports, returns, notifications, and other required information.
- Develop, implement, and oversee the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for senior management.
- Manage customer complaints from a regulatory compliance perspective.
- Investigate, document, and manage regulatory breaches and compliance incidents.
- Conduct compliance reviews and audits.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or another relevant discipline.
- Professional certifications such as ICA, ACAMS, CISI, or equivalent are considered a strong advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Compliance and/or AML within a UAE based regulated financial institution.
- Previous experience working with an SCA regulated entity is highly preferred.
- Experience within a brokerage, securities, trading, CFD, or financial services firm is highly advantageous.
- Existing professional relationships with the SCA are considered an advantage.
- Arabic language proficiency is considered an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
- In depth knowledge of the SCA Rulebook and related regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of UAE laws and regulations relating to AML, CTF, and CPF.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and research capabilities.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of UAE ESR, FATCA, CRS, and UAE Data Protection regulations is an advantage.
- Experience using the SCA Portal is considered an advantage.
