About the Role
Sahm Financial Limited is seeking a Compliance Officer in Dubai to develop and maintain compliance policies, AML/CTF frameworks, and act as primary regulatory contact.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously update compliance policies, procedures, and internal control systems to ensure adherence to DFSA regulations
- Establish and maintain the AML/CTF framework, conduct customer due diligence (CDD), sanctions screening, risk classification, and enhanced due diligence
- Act as the primary contact with regulators, respond to regulatory inquiries, coordinate inspections, and manage ongoing supervisory interactions
- Provide advice to senior management and front office teams on regulatory risks, code of conduct, client categorisation, financial promotions, and market conduct obligations
- Deliver regulatory and AML training to front office and support staff as required by DFSA
- Investigate, document, and report compliance breaches or suspicious activities to DFSA
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in law, finance, accounting, risk management, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of compliance experience in the financial services industry; experience in securities brokerage or investment firms under DFSA regulatory framework preferred
- Professional certifications such as CAMS or ICA Diploma preferred; must meet DFSA CPD requirements
- Familiarity with DFSA rules (GEN, COB, AML, PIB, etc.) and UAE anti money laundering regulations
- Strong document drafting, communication, and cross departmental collaboration skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus
