About the Role
Air Arabia Academy is seeking a Compliance Monitoring Auditor to support the compliance monitoring system by conducting independent audits and inspections across training operations, FSTD operations, maintenance training, and licensing.

Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and lead risk based internal audits across operational and technical domains
- Develop and maintain annual audit programs covering CAR ORA training activities, FSTD qualification/maintenance, and CAR 147 training/examination standards
- Perform compliance inspections of facilities, simulators, workshops, and training devices
- Evaluate compliance with GCAA regulations and approved manuals
- Audit FSTD operations and maintenance programs including qualification, validation, preventive/corrective maintenance, configuration control, and defect reporting
- Conduct audits of CAR 147 basic and type training programs, examination systems, practical training, and instructor qualifications
- Prepare structured audit reports including findings, root cause analysis, and corrective action recommendations
- Monitor implementation and verify effectiveness of corrective actions
- Act as focal point for GCAA licensing matters and verify compliance with licensing requirements for flight crew, instructors, and maintenance personnel
- Promote Just Culture and proactive safety reporting, support enhancement of the Compliance Monitoring System
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant aviation compliance / QA experience, including technical environments
- Proven experience in FSTD operations or maintenance (mandatory for technical role) OR CAR 147 / maintenance training environment
- Experience with regulatory audits (GCAA, EASA, ICAO frameworks preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GCAA CAR ORA, CAR FCL, CAR 147, FSTD regulations, and Aviation Quality Management Systems
- Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001 / Aviation Audit)
- Aviation Compliance / Safety Certification
- FSTD or Technical Maintenance related training / certification
- Human Factors / SMS training

Job Purpose
- To support and strengthen the organization’s compliance monitoring system by conducting independent audits and inspections across training operations, FSTD operations and maintenance activities, Approved Maintenance Training Organization (CAR 147), and licensing and regulatory compliance.
Compliance Audits & Monitoring
- Plan, conduct, and lead risk based internal audits across operational and technical domains.
- Develop and maintain annual audit programs covering CAR ORA training activities, FSTD qualification/maintenance/serviceability, and CAR 147 training/examination standards.
- Perform compliance inspections of facilities, simulators, workshops, and training devices.
- Evaluate compliance with GCAA regulations (CAR ORA, CAR FCL, CAR 147, FSTD) and approved manuals (CMSM, MTOE, FSTD, training procedures).
- Conduct process, product, and system audits.
FSTD Oversight
- Audit FSTD operations and maintenance programs including qualification/validation processes, preventive/corrective maintenance, configuration control, software updates, and defect reporting/resolution.
- Verify compliance with GCAA FSTD requirements and OEM standards.
- Assess competence of FSTD technicians and instructors.
- Ensure integrity of simulator training records and usage logs.
CAR 147 Maintenance Training Oversight
- Conduct audits of basic and type training programs, examination/assessment systems, practical training/workshop activities, and instructor qualifications/approvals.
- Verify compliance with CAR 147 requirements and approved MTOE procedures.
- Assess training effectiveness, examination security/integrity, and certification processes.
Audit Reporting & Follow Up
- Prepare structured audit reports including findings, root cause analysis, and corrective action recommendations.
- Monitor implementation and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Maintain audit records and compliance databases.
Licensing Oversight
- Act as focal point for GCAA licensing matters.
- Verify compliance with licensing requirements for flight crew, instructors, and maintenance personnel.
Continuous Improvement & Safety
- Promote Just Culture and proactive safety reporting.
- Support enhancement of the Compliance Monitoring System (CMS).
- Identify improvement opportunities aligned with risk based oversight.
Education And Relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant aviation compliance / QA experience, including technical environments.
- Proven experience in FSTD operations or maintenance (mandatory for technical role) OR CAR 147 / maintenance training environment.
- Experience with regulatory audits (GCAA, EASA, ICAO frameworks preferred).
Knowledge And Skills
- Strong knowledge of GCAA CAR ORA, CAR FCL, CAR 147, FSTD regulations and qualification requirements, and Aviation Quality Management Systems.
- Understanding of aircraft systems (basic level) and training device engineering principles.
- Familiarity with MTOE, FSTD manuals, quality procedures, and SMS integration within compliance system.
Certifications
- Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001 / Aviation Audit).
- Aviation Compliance / Safety Certification.
- FSTD or Technical Maintenance related training / certification.
- Human Factors / SMS training.
