Role Description
The Compliance Director is a part-time, remote role overseeing and strengthening the organization’s compliance framework.
The role covers legal, regulatory, and financial activities and includes advising leadership on regulatory issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor adherence to laws, regulations, and internal standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and review transactions and initiatives for compliance implications.
- Analyze compliance data and prepare reports and recommendations.
- Coordinate audits or reviews and deliver training or awareness sessions.
- Collaborate with finance and legal stakeholders on controls, documentation, and corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in compliance management and regulatory compliance is required.
- Experience in legal compliance, including interpreting laws, regulations, and standards, is required.
- Advanced analytical skills and a background in finance are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, independence, and multitasking ability are required.
- Experience in compliance, risk management, legal, or finance roles is required.
