Compliance Coordinator

Investigations and Driver Safety

• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, vehicle events, and near misses and establish their causes.
• Prepare investigation reports, maintain incident records and trend data, and support RIDDOR information gathering.
• Maintain driving-licence, driver-risk, vehicle-incident, performance, and telematics records.
• Support driver-safety communications, toolbox talks, refresher training, and risk-control measures.

Statutory Compliance and Documents

• Maintain statutory inspection and maintenance registers for fire, electrical, access, calibration, and other safety-critical equipment.
• Maintain and review fire risk assessments, premises inspections, action plans, and workplace safety records.
• Review health and safety policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, forms, and controlled documents.
• Maintain version histories, approval records, accessible audit evidence, and withdrawal of superseded documents.

Accreditation and Systems

• Support ISO 45001, client pre-qualification, industry scheme, audit, tender, and accreditation requirements where applicable.
• Gather health and safety data and evidence for ESG and Board-level reporting.
• Support data-protection administration, including Subject Access Request logs and retention schedules.
• Improve BigChange and Timegate Express workflows, reporting, evidence capture, data quality, dashboards, and management information.

Essential Criteria

• Practical understanding of workplace health and safety, risk assessment, safe systems of work, incident reporting, and corrective actions.
• Experience supporting compliance, health and safety, quality, audit, or operational assurance processes.
• Ability to investigate incidents, gather evidence, document findings, and track corrective actions.
• Strong administration, document-control, record-management, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Clear and professional communication with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
• Confident Microsoft Office use, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage priorities, maintain registers and deadlines, handle confidential information, solve problems, and escalate issues.
• Willingness and ability to travel to operational sites when required.

Desirable Criteria

• NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH qualification, or equivalent health and safety training.
• Working knowledge of RIDDOR and accident-reporting processes.
• Experience with fire risk assessments, fire-safety records, or premises compliance.
• Experience with driver-risk assessment, licence checking, vehicle incidents, or telematics.
• Awareness of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, audit, pre-qualification, or accreditation schemes.
• Experience with BigChange, Timegate Express, fleet-management, compliance, CRM, or workflow systems.
• Awareness of UK GDPR, retention schedules, Subject Access Requests, or data-protection administration.
• Experience collecting safety, environmental, or social metrics for reporting.
