The Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Competitive Intelligence Manager to lead the organization's competitive intelligence function by delivering actionable market insights that support strategic planning, product development, and commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute competitive intelligence strategies aligned with organizational objectives, growth initiatives, and long term business priorities.
  • Monitor competitors, emerging market trends, customer behavior, industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological innovations to identify opportunities and potential risks.
  • Conduct comprehensive competitor analyses covering products, pricing, go to market strategies, partnerships, financial performance, customer positioning, and market share.
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, sales, strategy, finance, customer success, research, and executive leadership to support product launches, strategic initiatives, and business planning.
  • Develop competitive battle cards, market intelligence reports, SWOT analyses, win/loss analyses, executive briefings, and strategic recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including market share, competitive positioning, customer acquisition trends, product adoption, pricing effectiveness, and industry benchmarks.
  • Analyze market research, customer feedback, analyst reports, public financial information, and commercial data to generate actionable business insights.
  • Build and maintain competitive intelligence repositories, knowledge management systems, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that support informed decision making across the organization.
  • Evaluate strategic threats, disruptive technologies, new market entrants, mergers and acquisitions, and macroeconomic trends to support long term business resilience and growth planning.
  • Utilize business intelligence platforms, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, market research databases, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, and AI powered analytics tools to support research and reporting.
  • Prepare executive dashboards, strategic reports, market forecasts, competitive assessments, and business cases for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop competitive intelligence analysts, market researchers, and cross functional project teams while fostering a culture of curiosity, analytical excellence, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Market Research, Strategy, or a related field preferred.
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) or professional certifications in Market Research, Competitive Intelligence, Business Analytics, Strategic Management, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, business strategy, product marketing, business analytics, consulting, or related roles.
  • 2+ years of experience managing competitive intelligence programs, research teams, or strategic initiatives preferred.
  • Strong understanding of competitive intelligence methodologies, market analysis, strategic planning, business research, financial analysis, customer insights, and industry benchmarking.
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms, CRM systems, market research databases, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, AI powered analytics tools, and data visualization software.
  • Familiarity with Porter’s Five Forces, SWOT analysis, PESTLE analysis, market segmentation, pricing analysis, and win/loss analysis methodologies is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, research, organizational, project management, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, storytelling, and cross functional collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex market data into actionable strategic recommendations that drive competitive advantage and business growth.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
