Community Support Specialist

Start Corporation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1984.

Our Mission is to promote opportunities, which enhance the self-sufficiency of people to empower them to live and function independently.

The Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program links adults ages 18 and up to affordable rental housing with voluntary, flexible and individualized services to people with severe and complex disabilities, enabling them to live successfully in the community.

Community Support Specialist provide CPST (Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment) and PSR (Psychosocial Rehabilitation) services to assist participants in achieving self-identifying goals.

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or Counseling
• Be over 18 years of age
• Possess a valid drivers license

• Communicates respectfully and effectively and establishes professional relationships through active listening and demonstration of empathy and positive regard.
