Location and Eligibility
- The role is in person at the AmCham Abu Dhabi office, with occasional off-site event coverage.
- Applicants must be based in the UAE and able to commute reliably to Abu Dhabi.
- Valid UAE residency is required; visa sponsorship and relocation support are not provided.
Position Summary
The intern will support content development and communications with members.
The role provides practical experience in membership communications, social media, newsletters, website content, event support, and day-to-day operations.
The intern will assist across office functions as needed while receiving guidance and developing professionally.
Responsibilities
- Draft and coordinate member communications, including updates, announcements, invitations, and follow-up messages.
- Create and schedule content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, newsletters, and the AmCham Abu Dhabi website.
- Collect, organize, and prepare member news, profiles, photographs, and other content.
- Assist with email campaigns, membership outreach, contact updates, and basic communications tracking.
- Support social media, event promotion, event coverage, photography, short videos, and post-event recaps.
- Design or adapt graphics, invitations, flyers, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Maintain organized digital assets, including content files, photographs, videos, templates, and mailing lists.
- Provide administrative and project support across office functions, events, membership, and committees.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, media, business, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
- Some practical experience preparing content for email, websites, newsletters, or social media.
- Ability to communicate professionally with members and handle contact information with care and discretion.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar content and design tools.
- Familiarity with social, website, email marketing, or similar platforms.
- Organized, dependable, detail oriented, adaptable, and willing to learn.
- Able to manage assignments, meet deadlines, shift priorities, and work effectively with a small team.
- Comfortable providing backup coverage and supporting a range of office functions.
