Position Summary
Prepare ingredients and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Maintain food quality, kitchen hygiene, equipment safety, and appropriate food and appliance temperatures.
Core Responsibilities
- Wash, peel, portion, chop, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients for cooking.
- Prepare cold foods, cook food, test for doneness, monitor quality, and serve appropriate portions.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Set up and break down the workstation and clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain professional communication and support coworkers in reaching common goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is listed as a preferred qualification.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is listed as a preferred qualification.
- No supervisory experience is required or specified.
- No license or certification is specified.
- The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and lifting objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Workplace and Schedule
- The position is full time and located in the hotel kitchen operation in Doha.
- The role is performed at the work location rather than remotely.
