Position summary

Commis III position in the Al Liwan Kitchen within the Food and Beverage & Culinary department.

The role is full-time, non-management, and based at the Ritz-Carlton property in Doha.

Core duties

  • Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure, mix, and store ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and checklists.
  • Prepare cold foods, portion servings, and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Test food for doneness, monitor food quality, and check appliance and food temperatures.
  • Set up and break down the workstation.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.

Preferred qualifications

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is required or preferred.
  • No license or certification is required.

Work conditions

  • The role is located at Ras Abu Abboud Street, Doha, Qatar.
  • The position requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Safety and conduct

Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.

Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality standards.
