Position Summary
Prepare ingredients and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Maintain food quality, kitchen sanitation, equipment temperatures, and proper food portions.
Food Preparation and Kitchen Duties
- Portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
- Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Test food for sufficient cooking and monitor quality during preparation.
- Set up and break down the work station.
- Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Check and ensure the correctness of appliance and food temperatures.
Safety and Team Responsibilities
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Use clear, professional language and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
