Located on Hayat Island, InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa is a luxury beachfront resort where island living meets authentic Arabian hospitality.

With a collection of rooms, villas, and residences, a variety of restaurants and bars, and award-winning spa and leisure facilities, we focus on creating thoughtful, personal, and memorable experiences for families, couples, and groups in a true resort setting.
We’re looking for a Commis I to join our Employee Restaurant culinary team and help prepare quality meals for the colleagues who make our resort experience possible every day.
- Preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and instructions
- Supporting the Chef de Partie and senior chefs with daily food production
- Preparing mise en place according to daily meal requirements
- Checking ingredients and making sure food is stored correctly
- Following proper stock rotation and FIFO procedures
- Checking refrigerators, freezers and food storage areas
- Maintaining consistent food quality and portioning
- Keeping your workstation, kitchen equipment and surrounding areas clean and organised
- Following food safety, hygiene and health standards at all times
- Supporting other kitchen sections whenever needed
- Culinary qualification or relevant kitchen operations experience
- The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen
- Good basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a busy culinary team
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays
