The Team Member Cafeteria Commis Chef prepares nutritious and appealing meals for hotel team members.
The role supports team member wellbeing and engagement through quality food, service, and care.
Daily Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve daily meals according to approved menus and recipes.
- Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and serving area.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, health, and sanitation regulations.
- Store and rotate food using FIFO practices to minimize waste.
- Support special team member events, celebrations, and themed meals.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver an excellent team member dining experience.
What It Takes
- Previous experience in a kitchen, staff cafeteria, or similar food service environment is required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards is required.
- The role requires efficient work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills are required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and support operational needs is required.
- The role requires ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to a safe and clean environment.
