Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for hot kitchen operations, including washing, cutting, marinating, and portioning
- Assist in cooking Arabic hot dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef during food preparation and service
- Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and meet the restaurant's quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hot kitchen station at all times
- Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to the Chef de Partie
- Label, date, and store food items properly following the FIFO system
- Ensure proper food temperatures during preparation, cooking, holding, and serving
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries in the appropriate areas
- Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently
Requirements
- Experience in hot kitchen operations
- Knowledge of Arabic hot dishes preparation
- Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen environment
