Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for hot kitchen operations, including washing, cutting, marinating, and portioning.
  • Assist in cooking Arabic hot dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef during food preparation and service.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and meet the restaurant's quality standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hot kitchen station at all times.
  • Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to the Chef de Partie.
  • Label, date, and store food items properly following the FIFO (First In, First Out) system.
  • Ensure proper food temperatures during preparation, cooking, holding, and serving.
  • Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries in the appropriate areas.
  • Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
