Position Overview
Eleven Cafe is seeking a Commis Chef 1 in Dubai.
The role requires three years of experience in the same field in Dubai and full knowledge of breakfast items and desserts.
Kitchen Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place before service.
- Create new recipes and help plan seasonal menus.
- Follow standard recipes and portion-control guidelines.
- Cook and present food according to required quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
- Check ingredient quality and freshness before use.
- Store food properly and follow FIFO procedures.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
- Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
- Support other kitchen sections and follow instructions from senior chefs.
- Report equipment problems, food-quality issues, or shortages to the supervisor.
Food Safety Requirements
- Follow HACCP and food-safety procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized cooking equipment, utensils, and work areas.
