Position overview

Food preparation

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food before use.
• Use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely to prepare baked foods.
• Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout the shift.

Safety and sanitation

• Follow food safety handling and personal hygiene policies and procedures.
• Check kitchen appliance and food temperatures and report issues to management.
• Wash and disinfect the kitchen area, set up and break down the workstation, and follow sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions and complete safety training and certifications.

Work conduct and physical duties

• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
• Communicate professionally, answer telephones appropriately, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds and work across uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than one year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No license or certification is required.
