Position Overview
The Commis 2 - Kitchen Gardemanger role is within the Food and Beverage and Culinary department at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha.
The position is non-management and supports kitchen preparation, cooking, cold-food production, sanitation, and food-quality standards.
Workplace and Schedule
- The position is located at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, 1 West Bay Lagoon, Doha, Qatar.
- The schedule is full-time, and the role is not remote.
Kitchen Duties
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, mixing, and storing food.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food-preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold foods, serve proper portions, and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Monitor food quality and verify appliance and food temperatures during preparation.
- Set up and break down workstations and wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is listed as a preferred qualification.
