Job Description
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation in line with established recipes and quality standards.
- Support senior chefs with ingredient preparation, portioning, and mise en place during daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure food is prepared and served on time while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Keep workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas clean and organised.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage to the Chef de Partie.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen role is required, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards is required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team is required.
- Culinary certification or relevant training is advantageous.
