Position Summary

Work Location and Schedule

• The position is located at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, in West Bay Lagoon.
• The schedule is full-time and the position is not remote.
• The position is classified as non-management.

Kitchen Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures.
• Thaw frozen food in the refrigerator according to storage procedures.
• Maintain portions, arrangement, garnish, food logs, and preparation standards.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality and presentation standards.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
• Inform the Chef about excess food and service staff about specials or unavailable menu items.

Safety and Guest Service

• Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
• Maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance and protect confidential information and company assets.
• Anticipate and address guest service needs and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Maintain positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
• Stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull during extended work periods, including handling items up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least three years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No license or certification is specified.
