Position Summary

Pastry Production

• Prepare doughs and fillings, proof, bake, and decorate breads and pastries.
• Review production sheets to understand the daily baked goods requirements.
• Use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely.
• Monitor food quality and portions throughout the shift.
• Inform the Chef about excess food for daily special planning.

Food Safety and Kitchen Standards

• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance.
• Follow food safety handling and personal hygiene procedures.
• Check kitchen appliance and food temperatures and report issues to management.
• Follow company safety and security policies and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.

Team and Guest Service Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and protect confidential information and company assets.
• Communicate professionally, answer telephones appropriately, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Serve as a department role model or mentor and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience, license, or certification is required.
• The role involves lifting up to 25 pounds, prolonged standing or walking, and movement across uneven or slippery surfaces.
