Position Summary

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation requirements, and food preparation checklists.

Monitor food quality and quantity while supporting kitchen operations and service communication.

Food Preparation and Cooking

  • Prepare special meals, substitute items, cold foods, and food for daily service.
  • Regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters and thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
  • Ensure correct portions, arrangement, garnish, quality, and presentation of prepared food.
  • Maintain food logs and communicate assistance needs during busy periods.

Kitchen Coordination and Compliance

  • Inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials and Food and Beverage staff about menu specials or unavailable items.
  • Follow safety, security, food-handling, quality, and presentation standards.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.

Schedule and Work Conditions

  • The position is full time and located in the kitchen operation in Doha, Qatar.
  • The work requires extended standing, sitting, or walking, as well as bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
