The Commis 1 Chef prepares food items and supports memorable guest experiences within a hotel hospitality operation.
The role covers menu preparation, guest orders, recipe execution, station oversight, quality control, inventory, and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
- Manage guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, handle complex recipes, and oversee station execution, quality control, and inventory checks.
- Inspect preparations and dishes before serving for quality and presentation.
- Keep food-service stations stocked, clean, organized, and sanitary.
- Follow food-handling, storage, and safety protocols.
- Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items as needed.
- Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
