Position Summary

Food Preparation

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, cold foods, and menu items according to recipes and preparation checklists.
• Regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters and thaw frozen food in refrigerated storage.
• Ensure proper food portions, arrangement, garnish, quality, and presentation.
• Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Inform the Chef about excess food and inform food and beverage staff about specials and unavailable menu items.

Team and Management Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Serve as a role model and develop positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and support the team in reaching common goals.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.

Guest Service

• Anticipate and address guest service needs.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns and maintain quality expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least three years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and reaching movements.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Workplace and Schedule

• The role is based at a Marriott property in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
• The schedule is full time and the position is not remote.
