Commercial Risk Analyst
Braya Renewable Fuels is looking for an energetic and self-motivated team member to join the Finance team at the Refinery in Come By Chance. This dynamic and fast-paced role is an exciting opportunity to work with a technical and collaborative team to assist with analysis impacting key decisions for the refinery.
The Commercial Risk Analyst requires the skills of an analytical team player with knowledge of finance, financial reporting, and economic factors needed to develop reports to support day-to-day refinery commercial and risk functions. Reporting to the Commercial Risk Manager, the commercial operations analyst will be required to have excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of different financial and analytical techniques and the capability of multitasking and prioritizing their workload to meet tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree from an accredited university or equivalent
- Minimum five years of finance experience
- A strong working knowledge of excel is required with experience building and analyzing financial models
- Experience working with contracts
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with an ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
- Energetic and positive team attitude
- CPA designation is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a commercial environment within the energy sector is considered an asset.
- Experience working with RightAngle or similar Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) software is considered an asset.
