Role Overview

  • Sleeping Plaza is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead and drive commercial growth across its GCC operations.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the role will be responsible for developing and executing the regional commercial strategy, driving business development, managing key customer relationships, overseeing marketing initiatives, and ensuring the achievement of revenue and growth targets across all market
  • The Commercial Director will play a critical role in expanding the business, strengthening customer relationships, and building a high performing commercial organization.

Description

  • Commercial Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy, identifying growth opportunities across retail, projects, exports, and strategic partnerships to drive revenue and market expansion across GCC markets.
  • Business Development: Lead new business acquisition efforts by building strategic relationships, expanding the customer base, and developing a sustainable pipeline of commercial opportunities.
  • Key Accounts & Projects: Manage strategic customer relationships and major commercial projects, ensuring customer retention, account growth, and successful negotiation of commercial agreements.
  • Marketing & Brand Management: Oversee marketing initiatives and brand positioning across all markets to strengthen customer engagement, brand awareness, and commercial performance.
  • Commercial Performance Management: Establish commercial targets and KPIs, monitor performance across markets and channels, and implement actions to improve sales and profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a high performing commercial organization by fostering accountability, collaboration, and a results driven culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8 10+ years of commercial leadership experience.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales growth, and strategic account management.
  • Experience within retail, furniture, home furnishings, luxury goods, or consumer products sectors.
  • Experience managing multi market or regional operations within the GCC.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high performing teams.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is required.
