The Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to lead contract lifecycle management, commercial negotiations, and governance activities across the organization.
  • The ideal candidate will oversee contract development, review, negotiation, execution, compliance monitoring, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial contract management strategies, governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead end to end contract lifecycle management (CLM), including contract drafting, review, negotiation, approval, execution, renewal, amendment, and closure.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Sales, Finance, Operations, Compliance, Risk Management, Business Development, and Executive Leadership to ensure effective contract execution.
  • Review commercial agreements including supplier contracts, customer agreements, service agreements, partnership agreements, licensing agreements, statements of work (SOWs), and master service agreements (MSAs).
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, payment conditions, service level agreements (SLAs), warranties, liabilities, performance obligations, and contractual protections.
  • Establish contract governance processes including approval workflows, contract repositories, compliance tracking, obligations management, and renewal monitoring.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including contract cycle time, savings achieved, contract compliance, renewal rates, supplier performance, dispute resolution, and commercial outcomes.
  • Analyze contract risks, business requirements, market conditions, and financial impacts to provide strategic recommendations and optimize commercial value.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, corporate policies, ethical standards, procurement procedures, and risk management frameworks.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, customers, partners, legal advisors, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to support successful contract execution.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives through Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms, workflow automation, artificial intelligence (AI) powered contract analytics, electronic signatures, and data driven contract management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop contract specialists, contract administrators, procurement professionals, and cross functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Contract Management, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Contract Management Certification, PMP, CIPS, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial contracts, contract management, procurement, legal operations, vendor management, or related roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing commercial contracts, negotiations, contract portfolios, or contract governance programs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, commercial negotiations, procurement processes, supplier agreements, risk management, compliance requirements, and business operations.
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms, ERP systems, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, electronic signature tools, and document management systems.
  • Familiarity with commercial law principles, international contracts, procurement regulations, technology agreements, outsourcing contracts, data privacy requirements, and AI powered contract analytics is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage complex contract portfolios while balancing commercial objectives, legal requirements, operational needs, financial considerations, and organizational risks.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in remote and hybrid environments, with flexibility to support negotiations, stakeholder meetings, and contract reviews as required.
